Emergency Closing Information
District 126 has an automated calling system to notify families of school closings and other emergencies. (Please make sure that your child's school has updated emergency contact information on file.)
Parents/guardians may also check the District 126 website, or listen to the television and radio stations. They may also contact the Emergency Closing Center at or call 847-238-1234 and enter 708-389-1900
The District's decision to close schools will be made as soon as possible, however, in some rare cases, the decision to close may not be made until 6:30 a.m. or later.
