Hello! My name is Rose Shea and I teach Reading/ELA at Prairie. I am the Reading Specialist for Prairie, and I assist in literacy coaching for teachers in the district. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Reading from St. Xavier University. I love teaching Reading/ELA because I love helping students make sense of their world through a great novel!

I believe students who are involved in extracurricular activities perform better in the classroom. I also enjoy seeing students socialize and have fun in a non-academic setting. At Prairie, I sponsor Love Letters as well as Smashbook Club.
