7th grade General Music

Students will focus on the basic structure of music and reading music notation while learning the basics of guitar.   All skills will be combined for the final project; a student created guitar performance.

 

8th grade General Music

Students will be focused on the jobs available in the music field including; Music Critic, Radio DJ, Performer, Composer, and Conductor.

 

PJH Concert Choir

Think you can’t sing?  Mr. Storch will prove you wrong.  This is PJH’s award winning Concert Choir and is offered to all 8th grade students.  No experience is necessary.  Students work daily on developing their vocal skills and exploring more advanced aspects of music notation and performance.   Students are required to perform both during school and after school, which includes traveling performances. Choir students from Prairie are rated as some of the best prepared when they move on to High School Choir.
